A Beautiful Wedding

We were very  lucky to have been invited to a wedding last weekend - at Twin Waters Resort, Sunshine Coast, Australia.  It was a beautiful wedding with altered plans due to the heavy rain that day.  We returned last night after a wonderful 8 days and am pleased that our weather is sunny and warm as we re-adjust from temperatures in the early 30's and humidity.

While on the Sunshine Coast / Brisbane I managed to visit three scrapbook shops - Joybells in Landsborough, Scrappydoo in Currimundi and Paper Addiction in Lawton, Brisbane.  And thanks to the shops providing seats and air con plus Scrappydoo having coffee and cake available, my DH and friend were very patient whilst I shopped thus my hand luggage was a bit heavier after that with a new stash of Prima Goodies in hand.

Today I share the wedding card I created for the lovely couple.  It was a large card approx 7 x 5 inches.
The image was a 'Lily of the Valley' printed image.  A Dusty Attic corner was used and inked with white chalk ink.  Flowers were mostly from 'Wild Orchid' together with the lace and a martha Stewart punch was used for the double border along the bottom.  Chipboard hearts with KindyGlitz were added.   I must say it took many hours to make due to procrastination.  The original image was square but when I made it into a circle it all came together much better.  Knowing the wedding was to have a vintage flavour I wanted the card to depict this.  The bride is also an accomplished horsewoman thus the image with a horse.

Little trinkets were added for interest.
The invitations suggested wishing well gifts so I made the top insert into a pocket where the gift could be placed. The wedding sentiments were Kaiser rubons.
I am looking forward to scrapping some of the wedding photos.  The bridesmaid and three sweet little flower girls were in a rich apricot colour and the wedding had a veteran feel to match the veteran car which was to have carried the bride but was ornamental due to the inclement weather.  Bouquets and table decorations were gorgeous bunches of cream roses with the hint of apricot so more to come in the future.

I hope your weekend is going well.  Thanks for visiting my blog.

Until next time.....
Dianne
